My Approach to Helping
My clients are adults and teens navigating life's challenges like relationships, unresolved trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, stress management, or exploring identity and values. They aren’t looking for a quick fix but know something needs to change and need a little help figuring out what and how. Being a human is hard sometimes. You don’t have to figure it out alone! Therapy allows us to build a relationship where over time we explore your strengths, your struggles, and your relationships to uncover what’s underneath the surface. My goal is to help you discover your own power to grow and find connection and purpose.
Life transitions can be especially stressful. Whether you're a student, young professional, parent, or partner, I understand the unique pressures you face. I empower my clients to develop healthy coping mechanisms, boundaries, and self-care routines to reduce feelings of distress and overwhelm. I take an eclectic approach, leveraging different theories and modalities to best meet your unique needs. Do you like structure and prefer when your therapist assigns you “homework”? Great! Does that sound terrible to you? Great! Not sure what you need? We’ll figure it out together. Part of my job is helping you discern between what is uncomfortable and an opportunity for growth, and what is a bad fit for you.
