My Approach to Helping
Do you feel you have been experiencing a problem that has been keeping you from living the life you know you are capable of? Perhaps you feel an issue or past trauma has led you away from living within your authentic self?
My approach is to provide a collaborative and exploratory experience to work together on the issue(s) at hand. I understand the importance of providing a non-judgmental and secure space and implementing anti-oppressive and multi-culturally literate lenses to understand varying experiences.
My goal is to find the glimmer within the shadow of your story so that you feel empowered and able to move past what was once holding you back in your life.
More Info About My Practice
I currently provide psychotherapy online and at an affordable rate because accessing psychotherapy should not feel impossible.
My approaches consist of providing a space to lean into struggles and explore experiences collaboratively, both from a person-centered and narrative approach as my foundations, with additional tools and techniques implemented from CBT, DBT, ACT, and Solution-Focused perspectives.
I enjoy working with challenges around anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, identity, relationships, and other significant barriers that could be historic in their origin and deep in their meaning. My approach is to work together in the therapeutic relationship to provide the space needed to understand oneself and move to a place of resolution or greater knowledge and therefore empowerment of the issue(s) being experienced.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
As human beings, we are much deeper than we know and much more special than we acknowledge.
While everyday life may pull us away from this understanding, we can be re-reminded in the psychotherapy space, and re-connect with ourselves and our special gifts to allow us to be better able to navigate life more fully and more powerfully within our true selves.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
Do I make you feel comfortable and heard?
Do you feel like you can relate to me and I can relate to you?
Do you feel like you can connect to me on some level, either in my listed approaches to therapy, my profile picture, or something else?
