My Approach to Helping
Laura Olaniyi understands that each stage of life presents its own set of challenges, and it is perfectly okay to not always feel okay. For Laura, therapy is about providing individuals with a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space to work through these challenges, step by step. She is dedicated to meeting every client where they are, offering care, authenticity, and understanding as they navigate life’s difficulties. By fostering a sense of peace and offering thoughtful guidance, Laura creates a supportive environment where growth, healing, and resilience can flourish both within the therapy room and beyond.
Laura holds a Master of Social Work degree from New Mexico Highlands University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Lubbock Christian University. She utilizes a range of therapeutic approaches, including Client-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing, tailoring her methods to suit each individual’s needs.
With over 15 years of experience in supporting children, adolescents, and families, Laura has been involved in international work focused on the well-being of youth. Her diverse experiences across different settings ignited her passion for serving individuals from all walks of life. Laura’s commitment to working within family and community systems, coupled with her belief in lasting, impactful change, has fueled her journey in social work since she began her graduate studies in 2012.
