My Approach to Helping
Layne's work focuses on building emotional fitness and optimizing personal freedom. He has worked with a wide variety of people in various circumstances. While he is a generalist, Layne has often worked with clients to stabilize their emotions, thinking, and actions. Such changes may call for resolving conflicts in one's personal history. They always involve individual practices to shape and keep constructive relationships with oneself, others, and situations. Layne is proficient in acceptance commitment therapy, among others. Internal Family Systems therapy informs his work, and he employs energy psychology strategies, integrating proven methods to foster the highest level of well-being. Layne only offers 'Telehealth' services, which involve visits using online video when possible or phone when necessary. Layne draws on over 35 years of experience, which has involved conducting healing and growth work for people of all ages. He has worked with individuals and couples. He earned master's degrees in human relations and social work from the University of Kansas. He has practiced as a licensed clinical social worker since 1989, first in Kansas, then Oregon, and now Arizona.
