My Approach to Helping

Lee Lester counts it as a great honor to walk alongside his clients as they face trials and opportunities for growth. He balances a direct, concise approach along with humor and authenticity. Lee utilizes Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), Person-Centered, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches. Lee uses techniques such as mindfulness and emotional regulation to provide clients with helpful coping skills. He promotes growth and healing through guiding clients in meaningful conversations of self-discovery and acceptance.

Lee Lester is a National Certified Counselor. He has a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Marketing Management from the University of Arkansas.

Lee has extensive multicultural experience from teaching English in China and Jordan, where he studied Mandarin and Levantine Arabic. While in Jordan, Lee worked directly with Syrian refugees and gained experience working with the effects of trauma on mental health. Additionally, he has previously worked in the business and financial sectors. Through Lee’s diverse life and work experiences, he has developed a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Lee enjoys drinking traditional Chinese tea, playing tennis, and is an avid outdoorsman.
