My Approach to Helping
All of the support I provide is infused with training and over 20 years of experience in Mindfulness Based approaches to healing i.e. Mindful Self Compassion (MSC); Mindfulness Based Cognitive (MCT); and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). The beauty of these practices is that they teach us to become more present in the moment where we are usually safe from external harms. These approaches are evidence based and teach us to be kinder to ourselves, thus turning down the volume on the Inner Critic
Another approach that I have found effective is Internal Family Systems which guides us to identify, accept and appreciate all aspects of ourselves, even the ones we don't like or have caused problems.
