My Approach to Helping

The first step to healing is understanding we need support. I'm here to support you through your healing journey.

I've always been a "caretaker" for as long as I can remember. However, as I got older, I realized taking care of others was a trauma response to not properly address past trauma in my life. In other words, I was great at taking care of others but when it came to my own life, I was lacking. It wasn't until I discovered therapy that I finally addressed my past trauma and understood how important a great therapist is. When you don't take care of yourself first, it is very difficult to continue to take care of others.

I want to offer a safe therapeutic environment for my clients where they can feel heard, supported, and validated. It's important for my clients to know that I care about them and am truly invested so they know they matter. Looking back on my own therapeutic journey, the therapists that stuck out to me were the ones that showed a genuine interest in my personal journey.

More Info About My Practice

When it comes to mental health, I am very outspoken about my own trauma and how it affected me and how I can turn my experiences into something positive for others, hence, why I became a therapist. In addition, I've been a strong advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights since I was a teenager. It is so important this population has a strong voice, be given equal rights, and are able to feel safe in society. I have children that are a part of this community and I want them to feel safe wherever they go. I want to help parents understand it is imperative for their children's mental health to create a safe space for their children to talk about their identity.
