My Approach to Helping
Do you keep doing the same things and hoping for a different outcome? Do you end up repeating the same patterns even though you try to do things differently? If this sounds familiar then therapy can help you break those patterns and develop new strategies. Making the decision to see a therapist is difficult for most people. It takes courage to admit that you need new and different tools for achieving healthy relationships. Often fear and anxiety keep people from taking positive steps towards feeling emotionally whole and happy. My approach is interactive, emotion focused, empathic, and straightforward. I understand that people who seek therapy are in pain and want relief. I believe that the best way to achieve lasting results is to work together to understand how your patterns of behavior originated, what keeps you stuck in these old patterns and how to let go of old beliefs and behaviors that hold you back from the life you deserve. I am committed to establishing a good rapport with my clients and providing a safe holding environment to explore painful issues. It may take time to know if you have a good fit with a therapist but the rewards can last a lifetime.
