My Approach to Helping

My goal as a therapist is to help clients reach their full individual potential. We often confront challenges in life that prevent us from being our best selves and impede our success. I facilitate exploration of these obstacles and help clients harness their strengths in order to overcome them. I work to help clients become more self-aware, resolve past and present conflicts, enhance interpersonal relationships, and achieve lasting well-being.

My practice offers an accepting environment for individuals, couples, and families to engage in positive change. Together, we identify negative patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behavior that hinder personal effectiveness and well-being. I utilize a strengths-based approach and empower clients with the tools necessary to realize their best selves.

A Raleigh native, I received my Masters in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University and I have 11 years of experience working in community mental health, substance abuse treatment, crisis intervention, corporate counseling, and career coaching in New York City. I have been in private practice in North Carolina since 2016.
