My Approach to Helping
I work with diverse issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, and the adjustment process that might be needed because of a physical move or an emotional loss. I have helped many adult clients overcome a chaotic family environment that has impeded and interfered with their ability to sustain healthy relationships at work, socially, and in romantic relationships.
I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP): the use of ketamine as a complement to psychotherapy. It combines talk therapy with ketamine as an adjunct to help eligible patients experience profound breakthroughs and lasting improvement. It is especially effective for depression, anxiety, and PTSD - particularly when other treatments haven't been as effective.
Effective therapy only happens in a safe, nurturing place that gives you the opportunity to grow and find your true self. I create a space that will allow you to acknowledge and neutralize those patterns in your life that have been preventing you from finding a connection with yourself and others. My integrative approach utilizes psychodynamic and relational interventions and draws on different techniques that help me conceptualize, understand, and address your specific needs.
Therapy is a beautiful and challenging journey, and I would be honored to walk its path with you as you explore and discover fulfillment in your life.
I am now accepting clients during business hours in my Center City Philadelphia office or via telehealth in those states where I am licensed.
More Info About My Practice
I hope you are well.
I am excited to let you know that I am starting a new Adult Children of Chaotic Families Group this June and I currently have a few spots open.
Here are the details:
The group will meet online every Thursday from 12-1 PM starting June 12. It's 50 dollars per session.
If you are interested or know someone that might be interested feel free to check out the flyer (attached) and reach out to me directly.
Whether the family has a member with substance dependence, serious mental illness, overly controlling parenting styles, emotional neglect, or inconsistent patterns of attachment and love, a chaotic family system leaves a mark on our mental well-being, our trust in relationships and trust in our own emotions and physical self.
Adult children may experience many residual issues such as low self-esteem, difficulty in romantic relationships or friendships, productivity issues and anxiety or depression to manage the aftereffects of this family. Additionally, if the family is still present, setting boundaries may be difficult and support can help make that easier.
This group creates a chance to heal in a safe place where we can share what it was like in each member's family, and learn how to establish healthy relationships, manage emotions that can derail the day and find a new peace in daily living.
Former members of the ACCF groups I have run, have reported enjoying feeling calmer and more successful in their everyday lives.
