My Approach to Helping
Lisa is a master's level certified clinical social worker (LCSW-C) in Maryland (MD) and Washington, D.C. (DC). Lisa has an eclectic background and experience, as she has worked in multiple roles including labor and delivery, hospice, crisis response, and faith-based counseling settings. She currently provides individual and group therapy. She provides a solution-focused approach, assisting clients to create viable action steps towards change. She provides support in helping clients with postpartum concerns, women's issues, stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and grief and loss. Lisa believes that the therapeutic relationship is vital to a client's progress, so she intentionally ensures it is a good match. She selects a modality based on the client's strengths and goals, which includes integrating solution-focused, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or strengths-based modalities. Lastly, Lisa provides individualized and unique care. She believes the therapeutic process is a journey requiring patience, vulnerability, and commitment. She is here to partner with clients as they dig deep, learn, and grow toward a life they are truly happy about.
