My Approach to Helping

I specialize in childhood trauma recovery. I can help you understand and heal from the profound effects of toxic family dynamics. Childhood trauma comes in many forms, from the big life-altering events to the more subtle yet equally impactful experiences like emotional neglect, parental mental illness (narcissism/borderline personality), and parental alcoholism. These experiences wire and shape one's perception, but do not have to define you. I can help you rewire yourself and overcome anxieties that are holding you back in order to reclaim yourself, your voice, and build healthier more fulfilling relationships.

I utilize psychodynamic therapy to delve into and explore past experiences aimed at addressing unresolved childhood issues, inner child work to facilitate the reconnection and healing of wounded aspects of your inner child through self-reparenting techniques, and I incorporate compassion-focused therapy to create meaningful change.

Sessions are tailored to your unique needs to empower you with transformative tools. Together we will cultivate practical skills that you can apply outside of our sessions, to develop new habits and coping mechanisms, leading to sustainable change. A 'psychological toolbox' to manage emotions, reduce stress and anxiety, and foster personal fulfillment.
