My Approach to Helping
I am a mom of 3 young children and 3 adorable dogs. I am a hockey fan and love to travel with my family. I have been a social worker since 2011 when I graduated from Bowling Green State University with my Bachelor's in Social Work with minors in gerontology and psychology. I immediately attended graduate school at The University of Toledo and graduated in 2015 with my Master's in Social Work with a concentration in mental health. I first began my career working in community mental health, which included working as a case manager for individuals with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. I then worked as a crisis intakecase manager and completed alcohol and drug treatment assessments. After obtaining my Master's, I started working with the geriatric population, providing grief therapy and coping skills to patients and families. I have also worked in the hospital setting with individuals with chronicterminal illnesses such as: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), cancer, dementia, and heart disease. I believe that everyone is able to learn coping skills and just needs someone to guide them. My goal is to be available to my clients as a resource during difficult times and easier times.
