My Approach to Helping

I aim to be the kind of therapist I would want by my side—someone empathetic, caring, respectful, and truly non-judgmental. In our work together, you can expect me to hold space for you to explore openly, but I’ll also gently challenge you to push beyond comfort zones when it’s needed for growth. Therapy with me is a collaborative journey; it’s about you stepping into a more empowered, insightful version of yourself, and I’m here to support every step. I believe that real change comes from dedication and effort, so I’ll encourage you to take an active role in our sessions, working alongside me to improve your mental health. This journey is yours, but you won’t be taking it alone—I’m here to support, guide, and challenge you toward meaningful change.

More Info About My Practice

My journey into mental health is deeply influenced by my East Asian upbringing, where seeking therapy is often stigmatized. Thus I am passionate about destigmatizing mental health and facilitating accessibility for all, especially marginalized and underserved populations. In addition to working with Resilience Lab, I am also a therapist with Open Path, a collective of therapists who offer reduced therapy session rates to help those who cannot afford the cost of therapy. I also believe that the childhood and adolescent years are fundamental to the development of essential skills in life so much of my work is dedicated to helping teens and young adults navigate through transitions in life, school, and work. In the past, I have worked and volunteered as a tutor, behavior technician, and proctor in high school and college. Currently, I am working as a mentor with the Student Success Agency which helps students navigate the challenges of high school and college planning.
