My Approach to Helping
ABOUT.
I have a boutique practice where I work with adults and couples on personal development, anxiety, depression, relationship and communication issues, parenting solutions as well as boundary setting. As a graduate of California State University Northridge, I attended Pepperdine University and later received my Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from CSPP. While completing my Fellowship at UCLA in the Department of Psychiatry, I was a Research Associate and Lecturer in Neurology. I offer my life experience as a wife and mother of two, I understand the pressures that arise trying to create meaningful lives in a world full of pressures.
PHILOSOPHY.
Finding the right therapist is an integral process to making change. I have found that the connection within the therapeutic relationship is the most critical piece for success.
APPROACH.
With over 20 years of experience, my general approach to therapy is to provide support and useful feedback, in an environment where you feel safe and respected. We will work together to understand your goals for treatment and explore the issues that you need help thinking through so that you can create more effective patterns in the future. I believe in a holistic approach to emotional well being including nutrition, exercise and overall wellness. Training aside, I hope to be relatable, down to earth and honest in my approach.
