My Approach to Helping

Welcome to my counseling practice, where I embrace a holistic and layered approach to therapy that is both challenging and comfortable. My work consistently integrates psychoeducation to enhance self-awareness, empowering you to build confidence and take control of your goals, leading to lasting improvement. I believe in developing a collaborative rapport, enabling us to effectively explore concerns together. This partnership fosters awareness and generates clear perspectives on how to navigate and mitigate the dynamics that trigger stress and create challenges. I genuinely value our professional relationship and follow up with clients throughout the week to discuss their progress and skill application, as this is where transformative change occurs.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Specialist, with certification training in mood disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, insomnia, grief, and addiction. I utilize empirically validated theoretical approaches, setting measurable goals for your improved wellness. My practice is situated in a small, boutique-style setting that is private and designed for clients seeking a peaceful, aesthetic environment. I offer both walk-and-talk therapy on-site using a treadmill and traditional individual counseling sessions. Additionally, I provide wellness retreats that aid clients in cultivating new practices that foster self-efficacy, confidence, and positive change. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward growth and healing.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

As a 49-year-old, I draw upon a wealth of personal experiences to deepen my understanding of your struggles and the complex layers that accompany negative mental health symptoms. I have navigated tragic loss, raised a child with a disability, faced challenging health issues, and managed several difficult life transitions. These personal insights, combined with my professional expertise, enable me to connect with you meaningfully and support you in your journey toward better mental health.

I find great fulfillment in helping you gain insight into your experiences and collaborating with you to address your concerns. Together, we will set meaningful goals and cultivate positive change in your life.
