My Approach to Helping
When you come into the office, you'll be in a space that respects your individual identities and needs. Our work will center emotion and thought processing and exploration to make new connections about yourself. My goal is that you gain a sense of control around your life and relief from ineffective thought and behavior patterns. You'll also practice experiencing emotions in a safe way that will strengthen your relationship with your mind and body. We'll collaborate to individualize tools we use to fit your life circumstances and needs so that lasting change can occur.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Making the decision to go to therapy can be hard. Maybe you're not sure if it will be worth it or where to start. That's okay. In therapy, you will have the space to figure it out and gain a clearer perspective on how to help yourself that you can take with you outside of therapy. We will take space to reflect on your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. We will take space to discuss your relationships, including the one you have with yourself. We will take space to evaluate what's making you feel stuck or confused. Through it, we'll work to gain a sense of empowerment, acceptance, and confidence as you move forward.
