My Approach to Helping
You are valuable, and your life matters. No matter how you've been hurt, the ability to heal is within you, and I want to partner with you in tapping into your resilience and strength. Maybe you feel like you've tried everything to grow, but barriers, like feeling disconnected from your true self, self-deprecating thoughts, trouble sleeping, anger, or pushing people away, are keeping you stuck. I would love to be a part of your journey in getting unstuck and back to living your best life.
My approach is from a trauma-sensitive and attachment-informed lens, meaning I explore how events from the past are playing a role in current issues, emphasizing safety and connection. As an EMDR therapist, I have 3 years of experience seeing my clients overcoming their past and stepping into their future.
My main areas of focus in my work with individuals are trauma and anxiety, specifically involving various forms of abuse or mistreatment by others. I work with individuals of all ages using variations of similar techniques, such as art, sand tray, music, movement, and journaling. I have received and continue to receive training and consultation on Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, the use of EMDR for parts and racial and generational trauma, parent-child interactions, healing attachment wounds, sand tray, and overcoming sexual shame.
