My Approach to Helping

You know something’s missing, but you’re not sure what. Maybe you’re feeling empty after a breakup, you and your partner are stuck in endless conflict, or you feel like you just don’t fit with anyone and don’t know why. Relationships and dating can be messy and stressful, especially in a world where finding support isn’t always easy, and expressing who you are or who you love doesn’t always feel safe.

I’m here to help. I work with women and LGBTQIA+ adults and couples who are feeling lost, lonely, or unsure of their next step. Together, we’ll tackle what’s holding you back, uncover what you truly want and need, and help you build a life that feels genuine and empowering—both within yourself first and foremost, as well as with others.

My approach is collaborative, culturally sensitive, and strengths-based, tailored to your unique experiences, identity, and goals. I draw from various therapeutic perspectives to help you break free from harmful narratives, gain clarity, heal emotional wounds, and improve communication. I also make space for humor and levity, because I believe laughter is essential for healing.

Struggling with relationships and self-acceptance can feel daunting, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. My goal is to help you feel safe, confident, and at home in your relationships, your body, and your mind. Let’s work together to help you build a more fulfilling, vibrant life!

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Therapy is a powerful tool for gaining insight into yourself and developing skills to navigate life's challenges. It offers a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings, investigate the patterns and stories of your past, and build confidence and skills to manage difficult moments or conflict. Through this journey, I believe you can cultivate a strong sense of self-love and acceptance, essential for resilience in a world that often feels unjust and overwhelming. I believe that healing can and must occur on both personal and systemic levels, which is why I prioritize including your cultural identity, your intersectionality, and your experience in your environment in the therapeutic process. Understanding these elements enriches the healing journey, fostering a deeper connection to self and community.
