My Approach to Helping
I strive to create a relaxed, supportive, and positive space for my clients during counseling. I know disclosing personal info can be tough, so I show respect, honesty, compassion, and non-judgmental listening. My goal is to make sure my clients feel heard, understood, supported, and gain valuable insights. I have 25 years of experience working with kids, teens, and adults in different settings like outpatient clinics, homecommunity, schools, psychiatric hospitals, and primary care offices. Even though I specialize in trauma counseling, I work with many clients who have anxiety, depression, mood conditions, intrusive thoughts, etc.
As a trauma therapist, I work with clients experiencing past or present trauma. My expertise encompasses various forms of trauma, including sexual, physical, emotional, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) resulting from war, natural disasters, and unresolved grief. I hold certifications in somatic trauma counseling and cognitive behavioral therapy.
