My Approach to Helping
I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Scientific research has shown that CBT helps with many of the problems that make people seek counseling. I try to help people recognize internalized fearsnegative beliefs that lead to increased feelings of depression, anxiety, anger, and guilt. These negative thinking patterns often make it harder to function in work and in relationships. Working on these fears and negative thoughtsbeliefs helps people change their behaviors and emotions.
I got my bachelor's degree in 2009 and my master's degree in 2012. I have had experience working both inpatient and outpatient, with males and females of all ages & with many different needs and diagnoses.
