My Approach to Helping
Initially a practitioner in nonprofits and community behavioral health programs and more recently private practice, I have held clinical positions in the field of wellness, psychiatric social work and mental health in San Francisco, CA since 2000. I have provided services for the whole spectrum of human development, from infants to the elderly, specifically presenting with complex trauma history and chronic to acute life challenges. As a somatic psychotherapist, I utilize relational inquiry to explore the symptoms of Complex PTSD, including fragmentation and illness in body, mind, emotions and spirit. I invite a depth process that leads to the experience of insight, positive shifts, integration and embodied transformation, a letting go of the suffering of negative internal states, dysfunctional and destructive patterns and distorted beliefs caused by early environmental & attachment wounding. I support safe passage on a mindful journey of recovering one's true self, awakening presence, the expansion of agency and life affirming realizations that promote healing and post traumatic growth.
My therapeutic expertise addresses the many life challenges caused by attachment trauma. In sessions I work with my relational presence as a core resource in the exploration and processing of attachment wounding, knowing that it's never too late to repair the heartbreak of relationships that failed to attune to you. The aim is to restore dignity and purpose.
My initial invitation to you is to consider what it is you most want for yourself, what is your greatest desire? This statement becomes your intention for therapy, the tether that supports your vision of change coming to life. This simple invitation calls for deep connection to the birthright of your existence - to be honored and loved just the way you are!
