My Approach to Helping
After careful assessment, I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs and values of the individual. Although trained in traditional, Western psychotherapy techniques, I also use a body-mind-spirit approach and incorporate eastern traditions as appropriate, such as mindfulness, meditation and energy medicine. Many problems are rooted in past trauma or distorted beliefs about the self, and these must be identified and corrected before true healing can occur. It can be a challenging journey and I do my best to help provide guidance and support. I have been practicing for over 30 years and remain passionate about my work.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
My own life struggles led me to become a therapist. I have used the techniques and tools that I teach others to get through challenges and maintain a sense of peace and well-being.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
There are many that could benefit from therapy who will never consider it due to negative beliefs about themselves or the process. It takes great strength and courage to try therapy, to examine oneself and attempt to make changes. I honor and respect every individual who makes the decision to walk through my door.
