My Approach to Helping
I am empathetic and enthusiastic about my work and encourage my client's to be curious about their lives, goals, and treatment. My approach to helping others is "eclectic," in that I do not adhere to one specific way of working with people. Instead, I utilize a combination of psychodynamic, object relations, and a family systems perspectives to help think about and understand some of the issues that are impacting my client's lives.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
Emotions and memory are complex and challenging to understand. Working through some of the issues that we accumulate as human beings is a delicate balance between vulnerability and bravery. Having a therapist that you feel comfortable and safe working with is essential to how successful your growth and emotional progress will be.
While people often come to therapy because they are struggling with a range of issues and emotions including anger, sadness andor anxiety, I believe those feelings are connected to much larger issues. Therapy can help get to the deeper issues that are often the source of those emotions. Therapy is hard work, but can be incredibly enriching, rewarding and freeing. Isn't it time to invest in yourself, so you can move forward with the life that you want?
