My Approach to Helping
Licensed clinical psychologist with 19 years of experience providing individual, family, marital, and group psychotherapy as well as neuropsychological and psycho educational psychological evaluations to individuals of all ages and cultures.
While there has been a significant increase in awareness and dialogue around mental health, there is still a growing prevalence of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. Economic instability, job insecurity, and the high cost of living create stress and impact mental well-being. Additionally, societal issues such as discrimination, inequity, and political polarization continue to contribute to a collective sense of anxiety, distress, and overwhelm. While humans display a great amount of resilience and adaptability to challenges, the erosion of traditional support systems (e.g., extended families, community groups), the blurring boundaries between work and personal life (especially with remote work), and the rise of social media and digital connectivity can exacerbate feelings of loneliness and despair.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist whose specialties include mood, anxiety, and trauma related disorders, personality and psychotic spectrum disorders, neuro-developmental neurocognitive disorders, bereavement, chronic illness, and end of life issues. My practice offers services both in person or via telehealth. I provide individual, marital, and group psychotherapy as well as neuropsychological and psycho educational psychological evaluations to individuals of all ages and cultures.
My approach is integrative, drawing on evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic techniques. I believe in tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring that therapy is a collaborative and empowering process. In my practice, I am dedicated to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings openly.
