My Approach to Helping

Hi, I’m Maria! My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported. I believe therapy is about finding a balance—I’ll meet you where you are while gently encouraging you to grow and move toward the life you want.

I like to keep things flexible and use whatever tools work best for you. Sometimes that means talking through challenges, finding practical ways to handle what’s on your plate, or learning how to calm the overwhelm that comes up. I also love helping people understand what’s going on inside—the more we know about how our minds and bodies work, the easier it is to face challenges with confidence.

I especially enjoy working with people with ADHD and those healing from tough experiences. I get how hard it can be, and I want you to know you’re not alone. My job is to help you find what works for you, build on your strengths, and remind you that you’re capable of so much more than you realize.

Therapy is a team effort, and I’m here to support and walk alongside you every step of the way.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

What I love most about being a therapist is getting to witness people?s strength. Every day, I?m inspired by the beauty and resilience I see in my clients. It?s such an honor to be the one who helps remind people of just how strong and capable they are, especially when they may have forgotten.

I?ve always loved empowering others and helping them rediscover who they are. Even as a kid, I found joy in supporting people to see their own potential. Now, as a therapist, I?m lucky enough to make this my career. It?s such a privilege to be part of someone?s journey, and I?m grateful to be able to do this work every day.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

Have you had a bad experience with therapy before? Maybe you felt judged, unheard, or like it just didn?t help. That can be so discouraging, and I get it?it?s hard to open up when you?re not sure you?ll feel safe or understood.

Here?s the thing: therapy should feel like a partnership, not a one-sided lecture or something you have to ?get right.? My priority is creating a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and in control of the process. We?ll move at your pace and focus on what feels important to you.

If you?re ready to give it another try?or even if you?re unsure?I?d love to support you in finding a way forward that feels right for where you are now. You deserve to have someone in your corner.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

As someone who?s navigated life with ADHD and worked through my own experiences with trauma, I know how important it is to feel safe, understood, and supported. Building trust and creating a space where you can truly show up as yourself is my biggest priority. Therapy works best when you feel comfortable, and I?ll do everything I can to make sure you feel that way with me.

I get how overwhelming life can feel, especially when you?re juggling a lot or trying to heal from tough experiences. I?ve been there, and I know how valuable it is to have someone walk alongside you. Whether you?re figuring out how to balance life, learning to work with your ADHD, or unpacking the hard stuff, we?ll take it one step at a time and focus on what feels right for you. You?ve got strengths you may not even realize yet, and I?m here to help you uncover them.
