My Approach to Helping
I treat clients who struggle with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, eating problems, relationship concerns, and school and career difficulties. More generally, I work with clients who suffer from an inability to live life to its fullest and who want a more enriching life.
I help clients explore their experience of themselves in relation to their past, present and hopes for the future. Together, we work toward understanding why you think and feel the way you do, as well as uncovering deeper factors that may lie outside of your awareness. This process will create spaces for healing and change.
If you would like to experience this process of self-understanding in the context of a caring, supportive relationship, feel free to contact me today.
More Info About My Practice
Aria Counseling is a boutique practice of experienced clinicians who bring a wealth of knowledge, curiosity, and empathy to every interaction with our clients.
Our primary orientation is psychodynamic, which in general means that we encourage clients to resolve the often-unconscious root causes of their emotional suffering. We do this over time, by building trusting relationships with our clients and by helping them learn to understand and befriend themselves. This process can offer healing, empowerment, and transformation. Moreover, a robust set of studies shows that psychodynamic therapy leads to long-term mental health benefits.
While we focus on deep healing and psychological growth, every client is unique. We will meet you where you are and draw from our diverse set of tools to help you feel better, and stronger.
We also share a commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive treatment. We deeply respect every client’s unique developmental, social, political, and cultural backgrounds.
We are a welcoming place to people of all ages, races, ethnicities, sexualities, and genders.
Most of our clinicians will see clients in person or via teletherapy. Book online at www.ariacounseling.net
