My Approach to Helping

At Through The Trees Therapy we believe that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses and sometimes we just need the help and guidance of someone else to help us uncover what they are and help us navigate what they mean. I am passionate about working with children and adolescents to help them unlock potential and see how making changes could help them manage stress, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I am also passionate about working with young adults and adults to identify areas of their life where they may need to make changes in patterns and other ways of thinking that they may have never thought of before.
I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy, and I use this in conjunction with other types of therapy to tailor treatment to each individual. I help people look at how their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are linked and to look for ways to make adjustments in these to reduce distress. I am also certified in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
My clients describe me as kind, understanding, and non-judgmental. I know taking the first step to reach out to a therapist can be a difficult one, but my hope is that together we can collaboratively create a space for you to feel empowered and in control of your life again.
