My Approach to Helping
My goal as a therapist is to help individuals and families achieve greater levels of wellness. None of us can control all of the situations we face in life. However, it is possible to develop a sense of wellness that goes beyond daily circumstances and allows you to feel joy, even in difficult times. I help clients to build the tools and insight needed to identify and overcome current roadblocks while better utilizing strengths. I use specifically designed experiences in sessions to help make therapy useful, motivating, and memorable. I also help families through a specific skills training to build healthy conflict skills. Conflict is often unavoidable, but it can be done in a healthy way. Contact me to see if the services and experience I provide are a good fit with what you are hoping to achieve.
More Info About My Practice
I firmly believe that therapy is most effective when people feel safe and comfortable. I also understand that inside a therapist's office is not always the best setting for some people. I have personally always learned best when I can experience something, rather than just talk about it. I work with my clients to match sessions to how they best learn. As a result, I offer sessions in my office, your home, or outdoors in local parks depending on which is the best fit for your needs.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I have experience helping people who are facing issues of anxiety, depression, and relationship problems. I also help those who are feeling the effects of past trauma. Using a wellness model of therapy, I love being able to help people who might not be sure if there is an identifiable problem but know that they want more in a certain area of their life.
