My Approach to Helping
I work with individuals, specializing in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use. I have enjoyed working with clients from especially vulnerable populations, such as those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (including Autism Spectrum Disorder), individuals who identify as LGBTQ+, those with histories of trauma, and other minoritized populations. I believe that therapy is most successful when clients are empowered to set their own priorities. I also believe that secure attachment and feeling safe are essential to the healing process. As a clinician, I embrace a person-centered approach and carefully consider the systemic barriers and supports that may hinder or facilitate client progress to inform my work with them. I know firsthand how impactful it can be to connect with the right therapist, and how essential this can be in providing space for a person to grow and develop insight. I’m known for being compassionate and down to earth — some might even say goofy! If this sounds like a good fit for you, please reach out today!
