My Approach to Helping

We each need help from time to time to cultivate new ways of being, see ourselves more clearly, and lead deeply satisfying lives. I help you change your perceptions of life's challenges, relationships, and transitions, both with yourself and others. Our work can help you create the life you want by improving your relationships, work life, and friendships.

I aim to help you move toward greater mindfulness, depth, and abundance. I partner with my clients in an authentic, honest, respectful way that integrates a variety of approaches to suit your individual needs. I want to help you move toward greater effectiveness so you can live the life you want.

I draw from more than two decades of experience as a psychotherapist to help you move past the obstacles in your path. Please call me if you need help. Life is rarely easy, and the path to a more satisfying existence can be elusive. I see your call as a healthy and significant step toward a better life.

More Info About My Practice

I'm a psychologist in private practice, bringing more than two decades of professional experience to individual and group psychotherapy for adults.

The work I do most often focuses on the following issues:
- Enhancement of physical health through improved psychological health
- Improved life satisfaction
- Healthy self-knowledge
- Improved relationships with oneself and one's loved ones
- Emotional development and growth

In addition to my expertise in clinical psychology, I am also trained in the science of neuropsychology, that looks at the connection between the brain and behavior.

I have a special interest in interpersonal neurobiology, an integrative approach that cultivates mindful awareness. The practice of mindfulness is now being shown to stimulate the brain to grow new, more integrated circuits ~ and may be at the heart of well-being, including emotional balance and resilience, enhanced relationships and attachments, improved cardiac and immune function, and an enhanced sense of empathy, connectedness, and self-understanding.

I've also written a best-selling book, "Rewire Your Brain for Love: Creating Vibrant Relationships Using the Science of Mindfulness."
