My Approach to Helping
As a Clinical Psychologist, I listen with an unconditional ear to the needs of each individual or couple I work with. I engage with people who are experiencing emotional pain, sadness, and worry, as well as those who are facing grief, life changes, relationship problems, a history of trauma, and people who are having difficulty adapting to a new medical diagnosis or a chronic medical condition. In my experience, growth means finding a way to become unstuck from a place of discomfort and moving forward with confidence into personal development.
I have extensive experience working with people who grapple with anxiety and depression, as well as those with medical issues such as chronic pain and new, life-changing medical circumstances. I am also experienced in successfully treating PTSD and trauma recovery.
Prior to living in Maine, I lived in Germany for 6 12 years where I treated active duty military and their families at the U.S. Army hospital (LRMC). I was honored to serve our country as a civilian, and the experience had a profound impact on me professionally.
