Through a process of increased self-awareness, and acquisition of practical skills you can use right away, you will become more proficient at managing those intrusive thoughts (negative self-talk, persistent worry, constant disappointment, need to be right) that could lead to frustration, anxiety, self-doubt and friction with those around you.

Of course you are. You're about to share your personal life with a complete stranger who claims can help you overcome some of the most severe challenges you are experiencing. And she's never met you before. It would be shocking if you were not a bit skeptical. Keep in mind, though, that this is not a lifetime commitment. You can choose to stop at any time. I am so very sorry to hear. No wonder you are hesitant to give it another try. There could be many explanations why it didn't work for you the first time. Maybe that specific provider (style, approach, personality) wasn't the right fit for you. Or maybe the timing was off (you were too young, not motivated enough).
