My Approach to Helping
The decision to enter therapy is not an easy one. Being vulnerable and facing past, current or future challenges is daunting. Whether you are struggling with depression or anxiety, going through a difficult life transition, or working through past trauma, I am here to help. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I have worked in the field since 2011. I obtained my Baccalaureate Degree in Cognitive Psychology from University of California Irvine and my Master's Degree in Marital and Family Therapy from University of San Diego. My experience includes working with individuals and teenagers (ages 12 and up) in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatric facilities, outpatient programs, residential treatment facility for mood and addiction issues, and as part of an emergency crisis team. These experiences have allowed me to work with a variety of clients experiencing various mental health concerns andor psychosocial issues.
I take a collaborative approach with my clients working to identify current problem areas and correlate them to treatments goals. Through this process I will work with you step by step towards achieving these treatment goals, providing support, and identifying and managing barriers along the way.
