My Approach to Helping
I appreciate helping my clients by empowering them to enhance their natural skills and abilities to overcome circumstances through positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented conversation. I believe that through the therapeutic relationship, we can better understand and improve our relationships with others and ourselves. I provide services to individuals, couples, and families. I have worked in the community, agencies, private practice, and educational settings. I work with children and adults coping with depression, anxiety, marital conflict, parenting, academic success, stress management, relaxation, as well as life transitions during and after acute and chronic illness.
I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree in Child Development from Florida State University. I then pursued graduate education in Marriage and Family Therapy. I earned my Master's and Doctorate degrees from Nova Southeastern University.
I am a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and a member of the Florida and Broward Associations for Marriage and Family Therapy. I am also a member of the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association.
