My Approach to Helping
I am currently accepting new clients. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with many years of experience treating a wide range of presenting concerns within adults, families, and couples. Some of these presenting concerns include depression, anxiety, grief, relationship dilemmas, challenges with life transitions, identity development and exploration, and working through past traumas. My areas of specialty include eating disorders and couples work.
Choosing to pursue psychotherapy can be a scary and vulnerable experience. If you’re new to the psychotherapy process, you can expect it to feel challenging and effortful; however, the goal is for you to also feel more positive, well, and a sense of transformation and relief. I see therapy as a collaborative process. Together we will identify and establish your goals for treatment, cultivate a safe and healing space, and work to bring you to where you feel more positively.
My approach to therapy can best be described as interpersonal. This approach focuses on developing greater understanding of emotions, exploring and recognizing patterns within relationships, and learning to utilize emotional and relational insight to develop skills to take more effective action moving forward. My goal is to provide a healing and therapeutic space for you to process and explore your feelings, and develop skills to feel more effective and well in your everyday experience.
