My Approach to Helping
My name is Megan Segall and as a clinical social worker, I approach therapy with a sociological perspective and look at each individual with a fresh lens based on their unique circumstances. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families of all ages with varying issues. My treatment approach modalities include CBT, mindfulness, inner child work, trauma-focused CBT, motivational interviewing, and more.
I meet clients where they are at so they can comfortably move at their own pace to meet their goals. I will do everything I can from client advocacy to assisting with community resources to help clients reach their full potential. I look forward to working with you! I have experience working with all ages however I specialize in teens and adults. I work with clients experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, dissociative disorders, gender dysphoria, bipolar disorder, grief, addiction, and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
I have a laid-back approach. I want you to feel comfortable and supported throughout our time together. I became a therapist because I found therapy helpful when I had struggles in my life and I wanted to help people the best way I knew how. I will help my clients create goals that we will work towards throughout treatment. During an initial session, I like to hear about what brings my clients to therapy and what they would like to work on.
