My Approach to Helping
Hi! I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Virginia. In 2014, I graduated from Kean University in New Jersey with a master's degree in Social Work. I have over 5 years of counseling experience from working in psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment programs, therapeutic foster care, and outpatient counseling settings. I specialize in treating adolescents and adults, depression, anxiety, anger management, grief and major life transitions. I use a client-centered approach, integrating cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and motivational interviewing therapy techniques. I aim to help my clients gain a new perspective of viewing their challenges while learning healthy coping mechanisms to maximize their mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
