My Approach to Helping

Is there a dark cloud hanging over you that makes it difficult to find a reason to get out of bed, go to work, or function on a day-to-day basis.

Do you have a hard time relaxing, engaging in activities that once gave you joy, or feeling comfortable in social situations?

Has a traumatic event left you in constant state of fear that prevents you from letting your guard down or feeling safe—even in ordinary situations?

Perhaps a recent life transition or change in relationship status has you questioning your identity or plans for the future. Or it could be that a chronic medical condition or recent diagnosis has changed the way you live, and now, you need help navigating that new aspect of your life.

If any of this sounds familiar, you are not alone. Dealing with change, mental health concerns, or chronic pain can chip away at you, draining away your strength and resilience. The limitations that they impose upon you can test every fiber of your being and make you feel defeated long before the real fight is over. And although friends and family mean well, it can be painful to see others who are unaffected by and often misunderstand the obstacles you face.

The good news is that with the right skills, the right mindset, the right support, you can learn to handle your life's challenges and demands with more calm, more confidence and with clear focus.

I treat various issues related to:

--Anxiety and Depression

--Trauma and Complex PTSD

--ADHD

--Medical Illness and Chronic Pain

--Job or Family Stress

More Info About My Practice

For over twenty years, I have been helping clients meet their most sought-after goals. I've been fortunate to work with wonderful individuals, including moms with postpartum depression, stressed out dads, people with social anxiety, men and women with chronic illness, and lots of individuals who struggle with managing their anger.

Here is one thing I know. No matter what is happening on the surface, everyone has a core that is peaceful and confident. It's just a matter of knowing how to access, draw from, and build upon that inner strength.

With a generous helping of warmth and support, I can teach you key skills that can help improve your life. These skills can help if you are facing chronic medical illness, mental health concerns, relationship issues, or problematic relationalbehavioral patterns that stem from a rough childhood.

My style is interactive, kind, and supportive. You will never have to be worried about being pressured or pushed into a direction you don’t want to go. My non-judgmental and compassionate approach to healing puts you in control of the pace of sessions so that you feel safe and secure at every step. I also offer a welcomed alternative to most Western approaches that includes holistic treatment, mindfulness practice, and where applicable, spiritual and psychological integration.
