My Approach to Helping

You are looking for help. Help reconnecting with a partner who seems disinterested and dissatisfied. You used to have a fun and exciting relationship, but years of stress and complications have left you both feeling distant and distraught. You probably feel like you don't know who your partner is anymore, or, for that matter, who you are. You may even be wondering if it is possible to ever feel happy and fulfilled again. Tired of feeling helpless and hopeless, you are finally at a point where you are ready to take action.

You may be afraid to hope that change is possible, but I am here to assure you that it is. A better life awaits you, a life of fulfillment and excitement, of intimacy and connection. Rediscovering a vibrant relationship is not easy, and it's usually not fast, but it is possible.

I love walking with couples through the difficult times, digging into the mess to help create something new and beautiful. I approach therapy with curiosity, creativity, and humor, traits I will help you cultivate in your own relationship.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

In case it wasn't clear from the description up top, I love working with couples. It is challenging and exciting, intense and rewarding, and difficult in a way that makes you feel accomplished when it's done. I've been told by couples that I've worked with that I simply have a way about me that helps them feel comfortable opening up about the deeply personal issues they are struggling with.

I also have experience working with depression and self-criticism, two issues that often go hand-in-hand. I approach therapy from a humanistic perspective, believing that what you need most is to feel accepted for who you are. Once you feel accepted and safe, you will likely begin to change and grow into the person you want to be.
