My Approach to Helping

Our goal at Synergism Counseling is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While you can't change the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. Synergy is defined as the cooperation of two or more agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of the separate parts. Together you can, with the help of an experienced therapist, make significant positive changes in your life, creating synergy. The relationship and trust we'll build leads to empowerment, healing and strengthening individuals and family. Everyone can benefit from counseling.

At Synergism Counseling we specialize in anxietydepression, relationship issues, divorce, grief, trauma, autism, parenting, and life coping skills. We use evidence based treatments that are tested and proven. Our successful practice has grown through word of mouth, referrals, satisfied and returning clients. We've been here since 2011 and have 8 therapists.

Our combined 38+ years of experience doing therapy with individuals, children, teens, families and couples has taught us to pay close attention to the client's specific goals for change. Our Sandy office has 8 therapists available. Our Heber City office has 4 available. Visit our website for more information on our services and to request an appointment. Synergismcounseling.com

More Info About My Practice

We work with clients who may be struggling with depression or anxiety related to their relationships or traumas. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of our clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

It is critically important for a person seeking therapy to feel that they can trust and talk to their therapist about their history, issues and feelings. If you attend two or three sessions and do not feel that you "click" with your therapist it is time to see if you can find someone else who you do "click" with. Therapy is typically a difficult process and in order for a person to make progress they need to feel "safe" in relating very personal information to their therapist. With 8 therapists at Synergism Counseling you should be able to find the right fit for you.
