My Approach to Helping
Greetings! I am Michelle Hammock. I am a licensed mental health therapist as well as a licensed drug and alcohol counselor. My approach to therapy is centered around creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I believe in the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and collaboration.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): I often incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): techniques into my practice. CBT helps clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and develop healthier and more adaptive ways of thinking. It also focuses on behavioral changes to improve one's emotional well-being.
I typically treat individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression as well as attention deficit disorder and addictions.
It's important to note that therapy is a collaborative process, and I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. I also stay informed about the latest research and evidence-based practices to provide the most effective and up-to-date care.
I love watching people grow and succeed! I believe in the power of therapy and the healing that comes with it. My career started with helping troubled youth and has evolved into a thriving mental health practice serving adults as well as adolescents.
By adopting a collaborative, client-centered, and adaptable approach to goal setting, I strive to empower clients to take an active role in their own growth, development, and well-being.
During our first session we will focus on getting to know you and your goals for leading the life you deserve.
