My Approach to Helping
Welcome! I am excited to walk with you on your healing journey. Suppose you are experiencing a stressful situation, significant loss, overwhelming emotions, or a life crisis. In that case, we can work together to overcome your struggles in a relaxed, safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space. I would be honored to be a part of your recovery journey, where you are not just surviving but thriving in your life! I am a Licensed Counselor with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health and have a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy. I have been providing therapy in the community for over 14 years and have extensive training and experience working with mood disorders (depression, anxiety, and anger management), trauma, grief loss, and relationship-family dynamics. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to develop a plan that will best meet your individual needs. My approach includes a neuroscience perspective to the therapeutic process (therapy can change our brains), and I practice trauma-informed treatment with a body-focused, Somatic Experiencing® approach. In addition to my commitment to restoring mental health and empowering my clients, my interests hobbies include cooking, exercising, hiking, reading, meditation mindfulness, spending time with family, playing with my many pets, and relaxing and enjoying the desert animals. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
