My Approach to Helping
I have a strong interest in helping people who feel stuck, who want a more fulfilling life, however find themselves helplessly repeating similar patterns. Painful feelings of frustration, anxiety, sadness, fear, and loneliness are familiar emotions you may experience as a result. I emphasize a personal and deep exploration of yourself, which can lead to changes in your life along with an increased sense of vitality. By creating and exploring a therapeutic relationship, we can learn to recognize and understand your patterns of interactions, thoughts, and responses interfering in your daily life, and within your relationships.
I have been practicing for over 10 years, primarily working with adults in psychodynamic psychotherapy. My varied clinical trainings in different settings (developmental kindergarten, neuro-rehabilitation center, and with veterans at the John D. Dingell VAMC) enrich my ability to help you with life's intersecting challenges and difficulties.
