My Approach to Helping
It takes a lot of courage and vulnerability to enter therapy, especially with the specific intention of facing whatever led you to seeking services. Ultimately, I believe therapy is about getting to know yourself better, developing strategies for creating and maintaining life balance, and acquiring new skills that help you feel confident facing everyday life. If this is your first time entering therapy or you are returning for a new experience, I'd love to serve as a tool to help you reach your goals.
I help my clients with issues including anxiety, depression, sports and work performance, managing public life, life transitions, identity development, family and relationship conflict, racial issues, and spiritualreligious confusion. I focus both on helping my clients improve while also teaching skills for maintaining progress over time.
I also have a unique specialization in sport and performance psychology, most recently serving as the Director of Mental Performance for the NFL's Chicago Bears prior to entering private practice. I've helped elite performers, public figures, and people from all work backgrounds develop the mental and emotional tools necessary to thrive at work and life.
