Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Many people still think that going to therapy means something is "wrong" with you. These are simply misconceptions based on lack of knowledge and experience regarding therapy. Fear of the unknown is common and therapy is a big unknown for many. The more exposure we have to this normal avenue for improving our life situations and share these experiences with others, the more acceptance there will be in society, increasingly requiring less courage. Therapy is support, a helping hand, a tool, connecting with someone who can facilitate our progress in reaching our goals, being who we want to be, and freely feel as we want to feel. We all need each other in various ways. This can be a very powerful way for you to connect to yourself, others, and love.
