My Approach to Helping
Frustration is like an indicator light on your dashboard - it can tell you when something is going on that needs to be addressed. Ignore a low-fuel light and you could wind up stranded; ignore frustration, and you could find yourself living a dissatisfied, disgruntled life for a long time.
Therapy is a powerful tool that can help you move forward toward growth and wholeness. My practice is based on the idea that I can encourage growth and understanding by listening to and helping you move toward the life that you want. Through a nonjudgemental, empathic, and collaborative approach, we can work together to help you heal. It's important to develop open communication and trust to empower our collaboration. It takes strength and strategy to overcome challenging problems and difficult situations, but through working together, you’ll be able to do that with increasing success. Depending on the moment, I may suggest books, meetings, movies, and other tools that can help you find clarity and direction. My main goal is for you to become more fulfilled in your life.
I work with a wide range of clients. I work with children, teens, and adults individually, and I also offer family and couple’s counseling. To all my sessions, I bring a deep appreciation for connection and communication, and I seek to facilitate your growth in your relationships with others as well as yourself.
Frustration doesn’t have to win the day. You can have peace. If you take the indicator light of frustration as the warning it is, if you take steps toward resolving your frustration, you will find joy and calm on the other side.
