My Approach to Helping

If you are experiencing any of the following: anxiety, depression, navigating decisions about your life and relationships, are wanting to change patterns, heal from trauma, explore your identity, work on self esteem, expand your spiritual or creative life, are processing grief, loss and change including coping with a serious illness, injury, Alzheimer’s disease or a family member going through any of the above, I may be the therapist for you. I offer support in coming into greater clarity, connection, self assuredness, ease and peace about the past, where you are now, and who you hope to be as your future self.

Psychotherapy means "to care for the soul." I offer a client centered, compassionate, integrative and holistic approach; honoring community and cultural contexts to help you engage in authentic and deep work.

I am experienced in a range of therapeutic approaches from traditional evidenced based therapy, to the edges of the field including use of expressive arts, somatic mindfulness, shamanicspiritual work, dream work, and nature based therapy. It's a big step to seek support. For more information visit my website (welcomingsoul.com).

More Info About My Practice

I am currently seeing clients online by video or phone. I see clients located all over California. I also offer therapy intensives, or guided self retreats individualized to fit your needs and desires so that you can do a deep dive in a more concentrated session than a typical 50 minute therapy session. This might look like setting up a 2 - 4 hour block of time to go through an extensive therapeutic process. Please reach out if you are interested in this service.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I became a psychotherapist because I love people and I am awed and humbled by the range of our human experience. I draw upon my passion for art, psychology, spirituality and nature to support people to engage in authentic, healing and deep work. Working with a range of ages from children to elders, I find that each stage of life comes with a unique set of challenges and gifts.

I believe that in bringing consciousness and intentionality to the important moments in our lives we can create a life that is profound, beautiful, deep, connected and meaningful. Helping people to recognize, reflect on, integrate, heal and celebrate these moments is what I do.
