My Approach to Helping
As a second-generation, Queer, Chinese American with Hindu-Buddhist leanings, I am aware of the intersectional parts of the self which may come into play when interacting with the world around us and it can feel frustrating and at times overwhelming-especially in today’s political climate.
Relational therapists with a trauma-informed abolition framework, create space grounded in safety and begin to explore behavioral and thought patterns and help tweak and upgrade limiting beliefs and excessive worry into self-assuredness and trusting of your intuition and your awareness. With a combination of humor, insight, and radical compassion drizzled with curiosity we can together look at things you want to change and things you admire about yourself to help enhance your mood, and esteem and gain a healthier way to interact with yourself and your friends, family and partner(s). We can work on understanding your values and turn them into proactive actionable steps to achieve your concrete goals. I use a variety of models and approaches, as I do not believe one size fits all.
