My Approach to Helping
I am a second-generation, Queer, Chinese American with Hindu-Buddhist leanings, I am aware of the intersectional parts of the self which may come into play when interacting with the world around us and it can feel frustrating and at times overwhelming-especially in today’s political climate.
As an anti-oppression therapist with a trauma-informed mindset, I create space grounded in safety, so we can explore any worrying thoughts and feelings. With a combination of humor, insight, and radical compassion drizzled with curiosity we can together look at things you want to change and things you admire about yourself to help enhance your mood, and esteem and gain a healthier way to interact with yourself and your loved ones We can work on understanding your values and turn them into proactive actionable steps to achieve your concrete goals. I use a variety of models and approaches, as I do not believe one size fits all.
We can explore multiple stressors in session. Whether it be grief, entangling emotions; life transitions or a deep desire to improve all your relationships, let's talk about it!
