My Approach to Helping
Has life been overwhelming, filled with guilt, self-doubt, anxiety, or uncertainty? Do you wake up exhausted, feeling like there’s no light at the end of this emotional roller coaster? If this sounds like you, you’re in the right place, and I’m so glad you’re here.
My name is Nakisha "Nikki" Hughs, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist. I have spent my career helping individuals like you navigate life’s challenges. By creating a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space, I guide my clients through healing and growth. My therapeutic approach is integrative and existential, meaning I tailor each session to your unique needs because no two journeys are the same.
Much of my experience has been in correctional settings, working with personality disorders and abnormal psychiatry, including narcissism and psychopathy. I am trauma-informed and have worked extensively with BIPOC and LGBTQI individuals, couples, and youth.
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I find peace in nature—whether hiking, backpacking, kayaking, or white-water rafting. I also love to travel, explore different cultures, and spend time with my two incredible daughters and my husband, my lifelong adventure partner.
Let’s work together to help you embrace change and see yourself as the most important person in your life. Call or email me today to take the first step toward healing.
